just got my hands on a gutted 944 and trying to figure out what to do with it, never heard of the 07K engine....that seems like a fun swap. I was thinking about a K swap.

Purchased my '83 944 a year ago and was going to have to go the ls swap route, but now after finding this I don't want to do that.. Unfortunately will be close to 6 months or a year before I can put the funds together to finish the car.. Fingers crossed that I will still be able to pick this up.!!!

I have a HX40 twin scroll t3 to go on my 1jz GTE, what do you recommend doing to get good spool on it?

Windshield removal is mostly for junk windshields and practicing on anything you care about invites what happened. I've done a few with my bro (that junk was all he had and it was his shop so whatever) but the smart way is copy success if you're trying to harvest a good windshield. We did them with guitar string (the ancestor of all the wire cutout methods) and a pull knife but these tools are really intended for getting junk windshields out of the way.

Next time try a $15 hvlp gun and some decent automotive paint. Upol, Speedokote, or HighTech recommended. Probably $150 all in. Better result with much, much less work.

Cool that SPA has a couple of cast header designs for the 07K now. Nice bragging rights to say your Porsche has a Lambo header though.

I swear the 951 can lift its front wheels at full boost, it spooks the heck outta me. I bought it that way. It eats hewer vets and stangs, yeup its a keeper.

Bathroom same results I use my steamer to clean homes I use the regular cleaning products then come behind them with the steamer to boost.the cleaning power

Remapping is the hardest part actually, especially if you change the cam along with other mods. If you don’t have an experienced tuner around, who can help, don’t even bother buying and installing all that staff.

I recommend also replacing the old jumper line at the same time (You can see it goes from the end of the fuel-rail, below and around to the damper. Or you will have to remove the high-pressure fitting and damper again to replace it later.)

Fair play for trying but even if you were successful like that the damage to the paint work would have been horrendous. That method is bullshit unless you pulled the trim out first

Been thinking about putting a hx30 on my 1.8T Avant. Also been thinking about putting a 07k in as well so we shall see what happens Chinese turbos are good for a fun 15k miles or so in my experience but my intercooler hates me.

Put ur compound on a terry cloth pad & rub it in a 4x4 area then buff side to side in a square overlapping the last strip by a quarter of your stripe. Then use terry cloth towels to polish ur work. Depending upon ur temperature & humidity is when you thin. A clear coat would reduce your peel alot. Rust Bullet makes a great product for this type of application & uses 2 coats & has a clear shot 1/2 pint for $17-$19. Use a firmer foam roller: on the hood u tend to lean/press more so your pressing air bubbles out of the foam as the paint dispenses onto a horizontal surface. On the side panel the tendency is to squeeze towards your pinky: this pushes the air out into the open air and not down under the paint. I thought it looked pretty decent. Detailing is an art if you’re good at it. Painting anything takes a learning curve! Good luck! Love that you have those girls out there!!
